7. The Witcher 2: Assassin Of Kings

There's really no case to be made that The Witcher 2 is a better game than its recently-released successor. The Witcher 3 has a more robust open-world, more beautiful scenery, and more cheap nudity than its predecessor, but that shouldn't deter you from going back to Geralt's old stomping grounds. With its esoteric combat system and some gruelling boss battles, The Witcher 2 is arguably harder than The Witcher 3 too, so if you've completed the latter (for which I salute you), then playing its predecessor may prove a worthy new challenge. The dark, foreboding world of The Witcher 2 makes Dragon Age: Inquisition look like The Princess Bride, and its rich characters puts the potato-faced folk of Skyrim to shame. With no new adventures for Geralt coming in the foreseeable future, this game offers the best way to find more adventures on the unnamed 'Continent'.
