5. Gears Of War 3

All the 360 Gears of War games will be playable on your Xbox One, but if you're only going to get one then it should be the third. While plenty of people will cry that GoW 2 is most deserving, 3 continues to have a biggest online community, which means you'll find more online action and more alien-blasting for your buck. We're currently going through a dark age in split-screen gaming, but GoW 3 is a beacon in that darkness. Its array of multiplayer options reminding us that many of the best experiences are those where you're surrounded by real, physical friends - who you can always punch in the arm, abuse, or kick out of your house when anything gets too heated. Of all the competitive modes, my fondest memories are of Capture the Leader, whereby your team must take down the opposite team's assigned 'leader', then prevent the other team from retrieving the corpse. There are few bonding experiences as profoundly butch as being part of a meat-shield with your buddy, racking up the points as you rain bullets upon the enemy frantically trying to get to their fallen leader. GoW 3 also has an appropriately meat-headed, gung-ho single-player campaign that's also best enjoyed in pairs.
