10 Clone Video Games That Are Better Than The Original

Though the history of instrument-based rhythm games extends beyond Guitar Hero, it's fair to say that it was the release of the game that, to use an appropriate industry term, put the genre on the charts.

So what could be better than the original king of rhythm games? How about its clone, literally named Clone Hero?

Clone Hero is a nearly identical version of Guitar Hero that was created and developed by Ryan Foster. The game plays exactly like the original, except for the fact that it doesn't come with a built-in catalog of songs - it lets its players publish their own tracks and share them with others.

As you may imagine, this feature makes the regular gameplay of Guitar Hero all the more chaotic and all the more fun.

From original, well-crafted tracks to meme mappings of the entire Shrek movie, Clone Hero has it all. The community of the game will always find new ways to surprise you, which is probably why Clone Hero managed to revive people's interest in the rhythm game genre.
