10 Comic Characters Still Waiting for Video Game Justice
8. Iron Man
Offending Games - Iron Man , Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3 (Sega) Three games, each based off of their respective films, and all equally terrible, have taught us exactly how not to make an Iron Man game. The first game - developed by Secret Level/Artificial Mind and Movement - introduced us to a boring, disappointing mess of horrible visuals, floaty controls, and possible motion sickness. The second game - developed by Sega Studios - was a shorter version of the first, with two choices of armor - Iron Man and War Machine - to struggle with in a ridiculous shoot-em-up that is trying, chaotic, and not really worth the effort. Iron Man 3: The Official Game was developed by Gameloft, went straight to mobile users and played like Sonic the Hedgehog crossed with Space Invaders... but not cool at all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oLRmnzsmt8 How It Should Play: This seems like a no-brainer, especially when basing any game off of a movie like the Iron Man series - FIRST PERSON SHOOTER. We spend so much time in that helmet on screen we might as well get nice and comfy behind all the brilliant colours of the HUD while we take on the various villains from the comics. A few third person quick time segments mixed in with the Mechwarrior-like first person levels along with a healthy mix of armours to choose from would make this game a hit for any comic fan. Special Move: Assembling the Hulkbuster armor to completely destroy your opponent in online suit warfare.
