10 Coolest Video Game Secrets From Imported Saves
6. Experience A Whole Different Resistance: Retribution With PSP Plus
Thus far, this article has talked about alternate aesthetics, but these kinds of unlocks can be so much more than that. In some cases, an imported save file can get you an entirely different story and gaming experience altogether. That's the case here, as Resistance: Retribution ends up looking quite different if you're a collector of the franchise.
To unlock this alternate look at the PSP game, you need Resistance 2 on PS3 and Resistance: Retribution on PSP. If you connect the PSP to the PS3 whilst running Retribution, you'll get the option to link the consoles and activate PSP Plus. Doing so has a big impact on the PSP title's gameplay/plot and even lets you use the DualShock controller to play it.
The differences in the game are substantial, as the protagonist, James Grayson, is gifted with plenty of new abilities (including underwater breathing and health regeneration). It also changes the narrative, infecting Grayson with a mutated version of the Chimeran Virus and following a completely different plotline.
