While the Church of the Water Tsar may have devoted its interest to the mutated offspring of an irradiated world, Fallout's Church of the Children of the Atom is more concerned by the means in which said world became irradiated in the first place.

Or, as someone who hasn't just graduated with an Arts degree would put it: this religion worship nukes.

Honestly, we can see why some people would choose to worship nuclear weapons. Especially in the world of Fallout, where nuclear war essentially ended civilization, causing humanity to have to rebuild from the ashes. Given that level of practically-divine wrath, it's easy to see why fearful idolators would revere Oppenheimer's "Destroyer of Worlds".

Appropriately enough, the Church of the Children of the Atom encourages its followers to split from one another. Different sects view nuclear bombs in different ways - some see them as bringers of the Divide (where a new world will be born in a blaze of nuclear fire), while others just see them as the ultimate way to wipe out heretics and unbelievers.

Either way, if you prefer your world to suffer as little nuclear immolation as possible you may want to give this Church a miss.
