10 Creepy Video Game Easter Eggs You Can't Explain

Pokemon has its fair share of creepy occurrences. Each game has its own variant on the unnerving location that is plagued by ghosts. The tradition goes all the way back to the originals, with Lavender Town ranking amongst the most unsettling locations in any video game. That music... *shudders*

But when it comes to hidden tidbits, the Lumiose Ghost Girl is quite something. In Lumiose City, you can explore a lot of the buildings. If you go to the second floor of a particular one, the screen fades to black several times before a creepy girl appears behind you. She glides along the ground, with her sprite not having any walking animation. She says "You are not the one..." before disappearing.

You can find an identical sprite in a hotel later on, where she tells you to be quiet, otherwise, she won't hear the elevator. What was her purpose? Is there a hidden secret that explains her creepy behaviour, broken sprite work and fascination with the elevator? Who is "the one"? No one knows and no one will ever know. Still not as disturbing as Cubone's Pokedex entry.
