10 Most Criminally Underrated Games Of The Last Generation

2. Heavy Rain

There aren€™t many games that make you spend the first half an hour showering, washing the dishes and playing with your kids, and there are even fewer that would capture its gamers while doing so. Yet there€™s something strangely endearing about the tutorial come plot set up, and its subsequent turn into a multi character, Saw inspired murder mystery. Heavy Rain feels unlike anything else in gaming, and while some will detest its QTE reliant, point and click nature, the immersion found in Heavy Rain is unlike any other game you€™ll play. The unique choice based system, the great characters, and the interesting controls create a unique experience that you won't soon forget, and its many different endings will bring you back for repeated play throughs. While footage of the game doesn€™t exactly look exciting, the story is really what carries the experience, and this and its star studded sequel are probably the closest you€™ll get to playing an interactive film. If you want a break from dull grey and brown shooters and a narrative to really sink your teeth into, then this is exactly the palette cleanser you need.
