10 Crippling Issues That Could Kill Pokémon GO
9. Widen The Pool Of Starter Pokémon
Whether you've played for hours or days of game-time, you'll still be coming across scores of Pidgeys, Rattatas, Zubats, Caterpies and Weedles. It's all in favour of ensuring that when something rarer does show up, there's an instant feeling of joy - but that feeling comes from the standard pool being so exhaustingly repetitive.
If you're playing regularly (say daily, which many of us are), you're coming across tons upon tons of the same creatures, not to mention how disheartening it feels if you do make the effort to visit a completely new town, city or area, only to find the same selection as always.
You can totally see why Niantic have chosen to populate the world in this way, but on a long enough timeline it's only going to result in diminishing rewards - especially as it actively turns you off exploring newer areas.
