10 Cult Classic Video Games That Deserve A Remake
5. Crash Twinsanity
By 2004, and after four major entries, the Crash Bandicoot series had gone a bit stale. From the face of the PS1 and one of the most popular video game mascots, there was a consensus amongst the gaming world that the franchise had begun to play it too safe with the same sort of formulas, especially following the release of Wrath of Cortex.
This led to Traveller's Tales completely hitting the refresh button and developing the most outlandish Crash title to date, Twinsanity.
Twinsanity was the realisation of Mark Cerny's dream for Crash to move into the open-world genre, and featured interesting mechanics that revolved around the Bandicoot and his arch-nemesis Dr. Neo Cortex teaming up for the first time. It also featured an acapella-only soundtrack that is honestly wasted in such an overlooked gem.
Development hell and a rushed release meant the game was practically unplayable, with over 500 bugs existing at launch. Which only makes a remake all the more needed.
A quirky and original entry in the Bandicoot franchise, there is so much potential and existing love out there with Twinsanity that a remake could capitalise on.
