10 Dark Souls Characters That Were In Multiple Video Games

One of the Four Knights of Gwyn and half of the infamous Ornstein and Smough fight in the first game where his quick and energetic style is balanced by Smough's slow and plodding high-impact attacks, Dragonslayer Ornstein is easily recognisable by his distinct armour. Along with his lightning-based offence and agile spear-based attacks, he is a formidable opponent by himself or with his companion.

In DS2, there is a boss in Heide's Tower of Flame that is called "The Old Dragonslayer" which wears his armour, has his moveset and is found just before the Cathedral of the Blue. While the game only states that his armour is "reminiscent" of a knight of legend, he is almost a carbon copy with a few extra attacks added in.

In Dark Souls 3, his armour set is found after defeating the Nameless King in Archdragon Peak. While the item descriptions explicitly state that it is the armour of Ornstein, it also states that he left the ruined cathedral in search of the Nameless King. Finding his full set here would seem to imply that he did eventually manage to be reunited with him before the end.
