10 Darkest Quests In Elder Scrolls History

4. Boethiah’s Calling - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Skyrim Sacellum Of Boethiah
Bethesda

We’re sticking with Skyrim and Daedric nonsense this time as those guys are wildly meddlesome and never seem to leave well enough alone. In Boethiah’s Calling you’re trying to become the champion of the Daedric Prince of deceit, Boethiah. Yeah, you see where this is going. What you’ll have to do is trick any of your followers into coming with you to an altar where you’ll literally sacrifice them to your Daedric Prince. Post-sacrifice Boethiah possesses the body and makes you and all his other cultist cronies fight to the death.

You’re unlikely to feel too good about yourself after this quest. Particularly as the mechanics of the sacrifice mean you can’t just go grab local loudmouth Nazeem and throw him to the proverbial wolves. You have to bring someone you’re tight enough with that they’ll blindly follow you into danger.

I guess Lydia did say she’d carry your burdens but geez.
