10 Deadliest Mini-Bosses That Made Gamers Want To Rage-Quit

Gears of War features a plethora of Locust enemies, but most of them are male. The females are vastly different from their male counterparts, and they come in the form of mini-bosses called Berserkers. In the game, Berserkers are humongous and blind but also incredibly ferocious and tough to beat.

When the player comes face to face with a Berserker, they're pretty much screwed. The difficulty stems from their blindness, which is countered by their excellent hearing. Whenever they hear something (like a player moving about), they charge like a freight-train into the sound, flattening whatever they stumble across.

While it might seem wise to spray and pray with whatever weapon is in hand, that won't do anything but call it towards you — normal weapons will not penetrate its thick hide. The only way to kill this monster is to lure it outside and hit it with the space-based weapons platform, the Hammer of Dawn.

This requires the player to stealthily move around the Berserker while luring it towards breakable doorways. If a player manages to do this, the Berserker will eventually be drawn outside, where it can be dispatched. Still, it's not easy, and avoiding this giant beast is no simple task.
