1. Social Media
We live in an age where television, the internet, gaming and watching films are all in one convenient unreasonably priced place. Take any press conference in the last few years as an example, each year the actual game part of consoles becomes less important in favour of showcasing that their product can surf the web, Skype other things that as a gamer I dont give a Sam Hill about. I know others out there will find this all too appropriate, as most gamers if theyre not playing that is spend their time on the internet, but the problem with social media on consoles is it is taking focus away from what the majority of gamers want, that is, to have games to play. I dont want a bleedin notification to bling up smashing the immersion like a baby through a window each time some berks completed: I Dont Care: Return of the Leave Me the Hell Alone. I have a PC for the internet and all my horribly narcissistic social stuff; I buy a console to play games. That is all.
