1. Sean/Lenny/Kieron/Everyone - Red Dead Redemption 2

I mentioned Game of Thrones in the introduction, but the only game that's really come close to aping that show's approach to death (even taking into account the ones actually based on the series) is Red Dead Redemption 2. By nature of being a prequel, fans already had an inkling as to who would make it out the game alive, who needed to make it out the game alive, and who was locked in to bite the dust.

Even then, the way Rockstar offed its cast of outlaws was surprising at every turn. The bloodshed truly started with Sean, who enjoyed a bullet to the face out of nowhere during a robbery in Rhodes. From there on, all the supporting cast was killed with little warning or build up, whether it was Kieron's headless body being ridden into Dutch's camp or Lenny taking a couple bullets to the chest during a particularly bad heist.

It's all purposefully cold to showcase just how cruel the Old West is, and even though you know most of these characters are destined to die, you never know how or when and it. is. devastating.
