10 Disastrous Video Games That Lost Their Creators Millions

10. Too Human

Anyone remember Too Human? That's ok, because the game pretty much came and went with the transience of a fart in a tornado. Before its release in 2008 however, Too Human had been in development since 1999, initially having been planned for the PSX then GameCube, before finally being spewed out on the Xbox 360. Too Human cost up to $100 million, ranking it in the top ten most expensive games ever made. In fairness, it vaguely looked the part for a AAA game, but was ultimately a generic futuristic hack n' slasher (save for an 'innovative' right analogue stick control scheme), its Norse mythology crowbarred in with the subtlety of a Viking pillaging party. The game didn't come close to recouping its costs, and didn't go on to become the blockbuster trilogy it was initially planned to be either. Its developer Silicon Knights never recovered from the failure and declared bankruptcy in 2014.
