10 Disturbing Video Game Endings That Will Haunt You Forever

1. Ending D - Haunting Ground

Fear 2
Capcom

Whilst there's certainly no shortage of ickiness and overly disturbing content throughout Haunting Ground, its worst possible ending is definitely its hardest aspect to stomach.

Throughout the game, Fiona and her lovable canine companion Hewie must navigate the imposing Castle Beli, and escape its numerous residents who want to do nefarious things to both Fiona and her body. One such resident is Riccardo, a failed clone of Fiona's father who seeks to be born again by using a supposed mystical power the resides within Fiona's womb known as Azoth.

Bit of a strange one, but stick with us.

If you don't form a strong enough bond with Hewie before the game's final chapter, he will not come to rescue Fiona from Riccardo's clutches, which triggers the notorious Ending D. This ending sees Fiona awake inside a glass case, with Riccardo on the other side. He gloats that she is now in his possession and that she will soon bear his child despite her protests.

We then flash forward and see Fiona sat in a large armchair, only now she's heavily pregnant. Riccardo enters and gently caresses Fiona's bulging stomach and she forces out a smile, seemingly accepting her life of servitude and shutting herself down entirely.
