10 Embarrassing Accidental Video Game Leaks
9. Assassin's Creed: Odyssey
The Assassin's Creed franchise seemingly goes on forever. For a time, Ubisoft were churning out these titles at a rate of once a year, and there are 21 games in the series so far. It's almost become a guessing game to try and predict which period of history Ubisoft will allow us to delve into next, donning our assassin hats, scaling the tallest structures and killing off political threats throughout history.
Prior to the unveiling of Assassin's Creed Origins, the main character, logo and setting of Ancient Egypt had all been leaked just weeks before the game's official reveal at E3 - by a promotional T-Shirt of all things!
After Origins started to take the series in a new direction, focusing on a gigantic open world rife with collectables and side quests, there was much speculation over what the 11th major installment in the franchise would be called, and where it would be set.
All of this speculation was squished when history repeated itself and a piece of merchandise revealed both the game's name, and it's Ancient Greece setting - this time, a key-chain! Ubisoft decided to confirm the leak just hours later with a short teaser.
