6. Learning To Swim - Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons

Give Josef Fares more opportunities to develop things. The guy just thinks in such a unique way, his creations deserve eyeballs.

Brothers then, is the Tolkien-esque tale of two brothers from a small village, journeying off into the unknown to retrieve a serum for their father. Interestingly, you actually control both brothers simultaneously; their movements and actions split across an analogue stick and button each.

Using this setup, you get very much accustomed to being in two places at once, interdependently relying on the pair to solve puzzles... until one of them perishes at the hands of a demonic spider-lady.

Suddenly only half of your controller matters, and you really feel that loss. Cut to the close of the game, and faced with a body of water the younger brother formerly couldn't brave without his sibling (and only half using the controller), you now realise you have to use the full pad to get him across.

Literally playing as the younger brother as he takes on board his brethren's life lesson, it's honestly one of the coolest ways to portray this idea in entertainment history.
