10 Epic Fails That Ruined The Wii U

7. Old Hardware That Barely Competes With PS3 & 360

The fact that the question even has to be asked is an embarrassment in of itself: is the Wii U more powerful than the PS3 and Xbox 360? The answer is yes, though this constantly comes up in debates online, with the point being that the Wii U's graphical capabilities to date have not really been shown to exceed anything we can play on the last-generation consoles. For all intents and purposes, though the Wii U was the start of the eighth generation of gaming, to many it doesn't really feel like it, because specs-wise it is so thoroughly outclassed by the PS4 and Xbox One. As with the Wii U, Nintendo may freely argue that graphics aren't as important as the console's features, and this is especially true when targeting the largely casual audience that they are. However, when that audience has been left largely apathetic about the Wii U, it means deferring to the more hands-on core contingent, who may eventually be compelled to buy a console for Mario and Zelda, but likely aren't going to slam down the cash for a sub-par platform (from a technical perspective) right off the bat.
