Final Fantasy is one of the longest running series in all of gaming, with most entries providing interesting worlds and a memorable cast of characters. The sixteenth mainline entry in the franchise employs the fictional continent of Valisthea as its stage for a medieval fantasy adventure. This world is home to six factions on the brink of war due to a disease running rampant across its civilization.

Playing as protagonist Clive, you will carve your way through this land using a mixture of melee and magic based combat. The game will feature both new and returning monster enemies and summons such as Pheonix and Ifrit.

These two summons seem to play a key role in the game, as they both feature in logos for the game. Also seen in the trailers are soldiers riding into battle on the iconic yellow chocobo birds present in every entry. Details remain scarce and with a recent delay out of 2021, we should hear more on this action RPG very soon.
