10 Fates In The Warhammer 40K Universe Worse Than Death
5. Being Used To Make A Daemonculaba
A daemonculaba is an artificial birthing womb for creating space marines. Made out of living people. Female captives are rounded up by Chaos Space Marines, fed a nutrient slurry and some warp shenanigans to make them swell to grotesque proportions before they are implanted with a gene-seed needed to create a space marine.
The "fun" doesn't stop there though, next they are cut open and an adolescent male is implanted in what can only be described as a sick reverse c-section. It's left to gestate for a few days before a fully grown space marine slops out, minus it's skin and then the process begins again. All the while the woman is still alive from start to end of this process and is repeated ad nauseum.
Who do we have to thank for this abhorrent mix of body horror and complete disregard for ethics? Honsou of the Iron Warriors Traitor Legion, a staggeringly evil character in a setting famous for it's villainous characters. Which is a real achievement, if you wanna call it that.
