The developers have placed orbs around the map and when captured by a player, they give the player an extra charge towards the use of their ultimate. These act as mini-objectives that refresh every round and are continuously contested throughout the match, granting the team that controls them a distinct advantage over their enemies.

Similarly to teleporters, the orbs make an auditory cue when a player is attempting to pick one up and being immobile, the player is vulnerable to enemy fire. On top of that, they are always located in precarious spots and players will be punished if they do not secure them with due caution.

Ever since I saw BJ grin as he picked up the chain gun in Wolfenstein 3D, I've been hooked on video games. My first love, however, was Counter-Strike 1.3 and I would beg my mom to take me to Internet cafés just so I could play it. The other two games that captured my heart were World of Warcraft and Quake, though I play all sorts of games (especially of the competitive multiplayer type). Oh, and I love dwarves and write fantasy stories about them in my free time.
