10 Female Video Game Characters You Totally Fell In Love With

8. Chie/Yokiko (Persona 4)

The Persona series is one that exists as a something you've most likely heard of, but never actually gotten stuck into. This is due to Persona 4 finally breaking through into more mainstream recognition, giving fans and newcomers the same quirky humour and Japanese-RPG mechanics we'd come to know and love, but changing up enough of how everything was presented to make it all work. As the game is half set in a high school, complete with classes to attend and tasks to complete Bully-style, Chie and Yukiko are two drastically different girls your character can choose to flirt and eventually form a relationship with. We've included them both here because it's totally up to each individual player who they think best suits their personality. Chie is a more outspoken, fun-loving sort, whereas (initially anyway) Yokiko is fairly shy and only expresses herself in certain situations, taking time to come out of her shell. As the game goes on you'll come across a myriad of scenes where the most pedestrian of exchanges really bring the two of them to life, and with the overall anime-style aesthetic animating everything brilliantly, P4 is one of only a handful of games that gets the idea of dating in high school absolutely spot on.
