10 Final Fantasy VII Moments We Can't Wait To See In The Remake
8. Cloud's Subconscious
Although it's not quite as action-packed as the other entries on this list, Tifa's journey into Cloud's subconscious could look incredible if done right.
In the original game, we watched Tifa try and piece together parts of Cloud's mind after he became mentally unstable due to the experiments done on him by the Jenova Project. Although this part is just as important as Aerith's death or watching Sephiroth burn down Nibelheim, it didn't have the same impact because it didn't have a cinematic cutscene.
The remake gives the creators an opportunity to not only make this a trippy trek into the mind of a mentally damaged soldier, but also make it slightly uncomfortable viewing for gamers by showing what Hojo and the rest of the scientists at the Jenova project did to get him to that point.
Think about the controversial torture scene from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and how much uproar it caused. While I'm not saying they need to make it as edgy as that, players should really be made to feel like Cloud was put through the ringer during this part of the game.
