10 Flaws That Stopped Video Games From Being Perfect

3. Horse-Riding - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

As impressive as the first two Witcher games were, CD Projekt outdid themselves with Geralt of Rivia's third outing. Every detail in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, whether it's the narrative, the open-world, or the combat, has been refined to perfection. The lore is so richly detailed, The Continent truly feels like a world that's lived in, allowing players to immerse themselves in the harrowing narrative.

The only thing stopping The Witcher 3 from being truly sublime is the horse-riding. While Geralt gallops on his noble steed, the controls can be clunky and unresponsive, making it difficult to perform the simplest manoeuvres. Geralt's horse will sometimes be unable to clip-clop forward, due to encountering the smallest of hills. Other times, the stallion stops dead for seemingly no reason.

Stranger still, this wasn't an issue in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings! Although every other aspect of The Witcher 3 has improved, this one element has regressed. As such, there are times where the player will be incentivised to head to their next destination on foot, since riding is too much of a hassle.
