10 Forgotten Gaming Franchises That Must Return At E3 2015

3. The Getaway

Remember this little London-tinged gem? At one time Sony's first party GTA-in-the-UK was the biggest deal around, with the PS2 being pushed to its limits to recreate (at the time) some jaw-dropping visuals. In the end it was a bit of an acquired taste, but with some incredibly solid voice acting, a solid revenge-kick story and gameplay that felt like you were playing a movie it endeared itself to an entire generation in a big way. Sequel Black Monday didn't do enough to advance the gameplay and looked more like an add-on than anything else, leaving an announced third instalment to resign in production limbo despite regularly popping up on "most anticipated" articles of the time. Although it'd be majorly out of left field for a third Getaway to see the light of day in 2015, it's not like open world games are seeing a huge amount of variation right now, and with London being one of the most requested places for a future GTA to take place - a fully spruced-up next-gen sequel would be pretty incredible.
