Instantly recognised by their iconic whip and fedora, Indiana Jones is one of the most beloved characters in pop-culture, whose globe-trotting treasure hunts have thrilled audiences for decades.

Alongside his big screen outings, Indy has likewise appeared in several video games, with the notoriously cryptic Atari game and cult gem Fate Of Atlantis being some of the more famous examples. However, one game that doesn't get enough attention is The Emperor's Tomb.

Set before the events of Temple Of Doom, Emperor's Tomb followed the eponymous hero as he searched for The Heart Of The Dragon, a mystical artefact with supernatural properties, before it can fall into the wrong hands. Taking players from forgotten jungle ruins filled with traps to thrilling shoot-outs in Hong Kong, this was the quintessential Indiana Jones adventure brimming with puzzles to solve and enemies to fight.

Adding to the fun was a satisfying combat system that let players attack Nazis with improvised melee weapons whenever they ran out of ammo. They could even use Indy's trademark whip to help even the odds when they weren't using it to swing across large gaps.

Despite some wonky controls, this was everything fans could want from an Indiana Jones game.
