10 Gameplay Tweaks That Seriously Improve Video Games

9. Fix That Sluggish Aiming - Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 divided fans of the first game. The deliberately slower pace sometimes made it feel more like a wild west sim than an action game. Some fans appreciated the change, as it made your choice of activity in the vast open world feel more intentional.

Others felt that it made the game a chore.

But one thing just about everyone agreed on was that gunplay was not quite right.

For a game about gunslinging outlaws, players hardly felt like the fastest gun in the west. Aiming was somehow both slow and imprecise, which is hard combo to nail.

Thank Billy The Kid for tenacious fans, as it was players who improved this particular issue. By finding the right combo of control adjustments in regard to aiming sensitivity, analog stick dead zone, and aim acceleration, it wasn't too long before a largely agreed-upon set of adjustments was spread far and wide across the Internet, saving everyone from feeling like they were trying to aim underwater.
