10 Gameplay Tweaks That Seriously Improve Video Games
3. Play On Guerilla Mode - Far Cry 6
After the gloat of Ubisoft open world titles and a number of dubious entries in the Far Cry series, Far Cry 6 finally breathed a little bit of new life into the series. It brought players back to a tropical setting - something fans had been asking for - and introduced new elements like tying skills to gear, ditching the upgrade tree, and the suite of "supremo" mega weapons.
Unfortunately, it majorly lacked for difficulty.
Even with a slower pace and a less cluttered map, the speed at which you were going through the game still made it feel like every other open-world Ubisoft game - just checking off waypoints on a map.
Thankfully, Ubisoft listened and introduced the Guerilla difficulty.
In addition to just making enemies tougher and more observant, it also disables certain HUD elements, limits ammo and resources drastically, and only allows you to tag enemies temporarily. Since tagging has been Far Cry's primary crutch when it comes to stealth gameplay - allowing you to keep track of enemies constantly - it changes the game completely.
You suddenly play more carefully, plan more thoroughly, and pay more attention to your surroundings, making for a far more engaging survival experience.
