10 Gaming Franchises That Desperately NEED A New Game

3. Skate

Banjo-Kazooie Smash Bros. Ultimate
EA

The Skate series was a competent enough skating simulator, but it was really notable and memorable for its inclusion of a mode that encouraged you to wipe your skater out in increasingly extreme ways, granting you points for each injury they sustained. This, combined with the open world, made the Skate series highly entertaining and even to this day people still play the games.

In spite of this, there hasn't been a new game released in the series since Skate 3 in 2010. The game is still surprisingly popular to this day, but most fans would prefer to play a new game instead of continuing to play an old one a decade after its release.

The primary reason people doubt that Skate 4 will happen is a lack of faith in EA. This is partially justified, with EA stating in 2017 that they were "not presently making Skate 4". However, EA is beginning to turn things around with titles like Fallen Order delivering a strong single player campaign, and Battlefront 2's post-launch showing a devotion to listening to fan feedback. Perhaps it isn't too unlikely that they would begin to listen to fans of Skate soon enough.
