10 Great Video Games That Are WAY Too Long

8. The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker

It's odd how Wind Waker is considered too long, considering it's among the shortest Legend of Zelda games.

But even Zelda lovers can't deny there are times where Link's sailing adventure drags, especially during the Triforce quest. To obtain the Triforce piece, Link must collect eight Triforce Charts scattered across the Great Sea and have them deciphered by Tingle for a hefty fee. After they're decoded, Link must sail to eight separate locations to dig up the Triforce Shards. This mission feels tedious, since it forces players to grind for Rupees and repeatedly sail across the entire ocean.

Speaking of sailing... there's so much sailing. Sure, the cel-shaded waves are beautiful, but there are times where you're watching Link navigating through the waters for over ten minutes straight without anything happening.

Fortunately, Nintendo took these complaints into account while working on the remaster. In Wind Waker HD, there are only three Triforce Charts instead of eight, so this quest is less laborious. On top of that, Link can obtain the Swift Sail, allowing him to zip through the sea much faster.

Wind Waker isn't a gargantuan game, but fans appreciated how the developers condensed the irritating elements for the re-release.
