6. BioShock - A Man Chooses. A Slave Obeys
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILinWcUSjVU A twist like this wasn't what I expected the first time I played BioShock. This was a huge reveal not only because of the implications that it has, but also because your whole view of the game, of the actions you've committed, pretty much everything you've made through the game was nothing but to fulfill the desires of the actual villain of the game. The game gave the false impression of free will, when actually every single one of your actions was carefully planned by Fontaine, who was only looking for a way to take over Rapture. This one is mentioned quite a lot during lists about Twists in gaming, and for very good reasons. So I felt it would have been irresponsible of me to not include it on the list.
