10 Greatest Video Game Ninjas Of All Time

1. Joe Musashi - Shinobi

There is no ninja that is more badass than Joe Musashi. Throughout the course of his adventures he has saved hostages and battled evil samurai all in an effort to stop the evil ZeeD Corporation.

Need more evidence? How about this; during the course of the earliest runs of Revenge of Shinobi, Joe Musashi takes out a Terminator clone, Spider-Man, Batman and Godzilla all in the space of a single game.

Of course, SEGA didn't really own the rights to any of those things so the battles were changed in later releases of the title, but there is no other ninja on this list that can claim such a who's-who of scalps.

Couple that with the fact that the main Shinobi trilogy - Shinobi, Revenge and Shinobi 3 - are each absolutely superb games that offer a little something different, and you have a ninja with a practically unblemished record for quality as well as coolness.

Granted, his family members haven't fared quite so well in the Shinobi games where Joe isn't the main star. However, the man himself is everything that a ninja should be, from the way he takes out reams of foes from a distance with his shurikens right through to the special Ninjutsu techniques that he can use to utterly wipe the floor with everyone in his vicinity.
