3. Shadow The Hedgehog - The Last Story
Personally, I think the hardest thing to swallow here is assuming that people would want to see all three hundred and twenty six branching narrative paths in Shadow the Hedgehog.
Yet that's the requirement for unlock this game's true ending.
Why so many, you might ask?
Well, that's the joys of narrative paths, every action having consequence and change. And yet whilst this might mean that no two playthroughs are ever the same, the grind is absolutely real in this slog of a game.
It's easy to rag on 3D Sonic games being unwieldy and difficult to control... and Shadow is no different. Except he has a gun, for edgy reasons, obviously.
Whilst it may not be the hardest in terms of gameplay to unlock this alternate/true ending, it's just such an unnecessarily long grind for an ending that should, by all rights, be standard anyway.
Making us go back again and again and going left when we should have gone right, only to present the same choice on the next level is just pointless.
