10 Hardest Video Game Achievements Of 2020 (So Far)

6. Ori & The Will Of The Wisps - Immortal

Ori and the Blind Forest was a tough, at times, poorly designed platformer which required players to place and utilise their own checkpoints. It’s also the origin for Will of the Wisps Immortal achievement, which tasks the player with completing the whole game without dying.

Both games in the series, at their hearts, are about platforming. Combat differs between the two but they each hinge on player precision and twitch reactions. There are boss fights, one-hit enemies, various traversal abilities and frantic races against moving environments.

Generally, the games are fairly short, containing a speedrun achievement of 3 hours. When you realise you can’t die, this becomes an even shorter challenge. However, we now have to factor in that there’s almost no chance you do this in one try. You’re also going to be utilising a guide and would have played through at least once beforehand.

I also want to hope you’ll be doing this without save scumming via the cloud…
