Dark Souls has a deserving reputation as one of the hardest mainstream games in recent memory.

So, when the developer, Hidetaka Miyazaki, learned of his creation's infamy, he reacted the only way he could - by making a game that was harder. To get through Bloodborne, you are gonna die so often, you'll swear it's a hobby. So, when you defeat the final boss after being squished, hacked, and dismembered 5,000 times, it all feels worth it.

That is until you realise the game isn't nearly over. If you want to face the real adversary, you need to play through Bloodborne three more times, picking up a hidden Umbilical Chord upon every playthrough.

And these chords aren't something you can just stumble upon. You need to perform a series of precise actions to attain these hidden items.

Thankfully, you only need to acquire three of the four Umbilical Chords to face off against the real antagonist - Moon Presence. If you thought obliterating this behemoth would answer some lingering questions in the story, that's not the case. Upon defeating this monstrosity, the conclusion is sure to leave you even more confused than the original ending did.
