Physical defects in games can be hilarious, but it is usually they that lead to the most harrowing of results, as one gamer found when capturing footage in Ubisoft's pirate-themed Assassin's Creed release. This one reads like a catalogue of signs that the Day Of Days is upon us: firstly a yawning and infinite void opens in the water behind our hero, who watches (presumably agog, though he looks unperturbed) as his crew then appear writhing in mid-air, before floating off into the sky to be at peace. And then, to top it off, the Jackdaw itself - the ship we're supposed to call home - rises out of the deep and casually floats by the dock as if it has just arrived in the most conventional of manners...
