4. It Was Josh All Along - Until Dawn
Until Dawn's story is one of many twists and turns, but one of its most shocking moments comes when you discover the identity of the masked psycho terrorizing the group. As it turns out, it was one of them all along.
Josh, one of the central characters (portrayed here by Rami Malek), is an intense but seemingly well-meaning guy who brings together a group of friends to the mountain location where his sisters died a year prior. From there, they attempt to survive the attacks of a masked killer and, eventually, the relentless onslaught of local Wendigos.
However, one of those threats is less deadly than the others, as the masked killer was actually just Josh pulling an elaborate prank. Not cool man, not cool.
What makes this twist even crazier is that you witnessed him get chopped in half by a buzzsaw earlier in the game. However, the whole thing was a trick, as he managed to fake his death with some excellent production value and believable visual effects.
