10 Hottest Gaming Trends To Keep An Eye On
1. Remakes And Remasters
It was not that long ago that we only got a few remakes or remasters of old games, every now and again.
Shadow of the Colossus would get an upgrade for the launch of the next PlayStation console, or we'd see remastered bundles of older games, like the Master Chief Collection or the Nathan Drake Collection.
Now though? It's becoming a much more common occurrence.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Mafia, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, MediEvil, Legend of Zelda, Destroy All Humans, Call of Duty, Demon’s Souls, Diablo, God of War, Mass Effect, Resident Evil and Final Fantasy 7 are just some of the many games that have either been remastered or been completely remade from the ground up.
While it is clear that older fans who grew up playing the original versions of these games are the primary target, more remakes and remasters mean that younger gamers can experience them for the first time, and bring everyone together in a shared admiration for a timeless classic.
With many of these revived games selling very well, it looks as though we are going to get plenty more in the near future.
