10 Huge 2016 Video Game Rumours You're Not Supposed To Know
10. Microsoft Are Reviving Conker, Perfect Dark & Banjo-Kazooie
Taking to the forums of Reddit (somewhere that's increasingly becoming the place industry insiders let spill all sorts of secrets), user Certain_Ability detailed how Microsoft were floating ideas around for not only a Conker's Bad Fur Day sequel, but reboots of both Perfect Dark and Banjo Kazooie. An ex-employee for the company, Ability's comments refer to a version of Conker that was taken away from Rare and offered to Insomniac, who eventually turned it down as the turnaround was to release this new version by the end of 2015. In addition, Microsoft are attempting to garner fan-favour with some franchises that have a mix of association between both Nintendo fans and that of the 360, telling of how both Perfect Dark and Banjo are set to receive full makeovers in 2016. Likelihood? 9/10 Although Conker has been knocked back for now, he's one of the most loveable and fun characters in gaming's history. Doing another swear n' rude humour-happy platformer would go down a storm, and you can bet Microsoft got another developer on the project the second Insomniac said no. As for PD and Banjo, half of the latter's original team are working on the Kickstarted Yooka-Laylee, but as Microsoft would benefit hugely from having both a platformer and another landmark shooter under their belt, this is almost a no-brainer.
