10 Huge Video Game Sequel Rumours You Need To Know

1. The Last Of Us 2

There's a serious argument that the Last of Us proves games can be an art form; it is heart-wrenching and beautiful and tragic, with plenty of scope to carry the story forward. After all, there's still so much to be learnt about the game world and its people, so it's clear to see why some fans want a second installment. Others don't - they argue the game was a perfect one-off and a sequel would tarnish its legacy - but the ending left so much open to interpretation that people want to go back and visit Joel and Ellie again. An unfortunate Naughty Dog employee let slip that he'd been working on a second game in his CV, but officially the chances of number two are "50/50," according to Neil Druckmann, the game's creative director. He told Reddit during an AMA that the story would have to be strong enough to make another Last of Us, one that isn't going to repeat the events and emotions of the first. Watch this space and keep those fingers and toes crossed; who knows what will happen? Are there any games you want to see a sequel to? Let us know in the comments!
