10 Humanity-Restoring Experiences Only Gamers Will Understand

1. When A Teammate In A Vehicle Stops To Give You A Lift

While it's probably one of the most common displays of goodwill in gaming, the humble lift never fails to warm the heart. It's such a simple act of kindness, and it's one that has a very practical advantage as all too often players jump into a jeep or ATV in order to get to the action quickly, thus robbing their team of a potentially superb resource. Fair enough, it's not always beneficial to pull over and let somebody hop on board: they might draw unwanted attention to you by firing rounds out of the window out of boredom, or stop you venturing off the main roads by adding a sense of urgency to proceedings. But whether you want to or not, it's basic war zone etiquette to stop for others. It's a recurring issue of the Battlefield franchise that players spend more time waiting for vehicles than they do enjoying the game, which is why when you find yourself last in the sprint for four wheels, you'll be genuinely touched by the generosity of the kind soul that waits for you to scurry over and climb in before setting off into the sunset.
