10 Iconic Nintendo Games You Must Replay
2. Metroid Prime
Changing the style of Samus Aran's adventures to first-person was a bold move, but one that paid off in dividends. Another big move was to strip Samus of all her usual upgrades after the opening sequence, paving the way for another romp through space to pick up conveniently compatible add ons to your suit - clever.
The key Metroid features are present throughout including wide open areas connected by elevators leading you to various bosses on each level - sounds simple enough. Then the story kicks in and it becomes a bit more complicated but you remain transfixed by the story of the Chozo race and their studies of the Metroid parasites.
You can't help but play this game over and over in pursuit of all the collectable items (there are lots to find) all in the hopes of viewing the post credits scene involving the titular Metroid Prime reviving itself using the Phazon suit to become Dark Samus - basically a teaser that should've contained the words: To Be Continued.
Replay Highlight: The cybernetic dragon creature, Meta Ridley. One of the best boss battles of all time.
