10 Iconic Video Games You Didn't Realise Also Have TV Shows

4. Halo (Forward Unto Dawn)

Cartoons and 3D animated features are all well and good, but what about the live action shows?

Well, Bungie's sci-fi shooter Halo has you covered there. Taking the never-ending war between people in power armour and those annoying little triangular guys to the small screen, Halo: Forward Unto Dawn was a web series produced by 343 Industries and Microsoft Studios, distributed by Machinima Prime.

The story follows the fortunes of Thomas Lasky, a cadet at the Corbulo Academy, during his stint on planet Cirnicus-IV. He narrates the story from the space ship Infinity, thirty years later. The Covenant - the bad guys who want to wipe out humanity because it offends their alien religion - attacks the academy and the cadets must do what they can to survive these early encounters with what are the first trilogy's main antagonists.

Even if you're not into Halo, you have to admire the production values on this piece. It could've easily felt like a fan film but actually manages to capture the feeling of Halo fairly well.

Oh and yes, Master Chief is in it, because nobody would've paid any attention if he wasn't.
