10 Images That Completely Killed The Magic Of Gaming

7. Taye Taiwo's Face Melts - FIFA 12

There's nothing like a really, really screwed up glitch to remind us that we're playing a coded series of polygons smashing into one another. This glitch from FIFA 12 became famous soon after the game's release, as Nigerian player Taye Taiwo's face begins to warp wildly, melting like the bad guy from Raiders of the Lost Ark all while his body appears to scrunch up into a pretzel-like ball. Football games are supposed to enhance our passion for the sport and allow us to play out our dream scenarios, and above all else it certainly wasn't EA Sports' prerogative to have Taiwo's "transformation" haunting our dreams. After seeing this, it's pretty much impossible to concentrate on the rest of the game: you're just left wondering when Taiwo or any other player is going to without warning have their eyeballs fall out and their cheeks start sliding off their face. Sports games pride themselves on their absurd level of attention to detail and visual fidelity to the actual activity, but this, this is just wrong on so many levels.
