In the final mission of Warcraft III, it is possible to defeat the un-killable Archimonde the Defiler. The colossal demon wields limitless warlock magics and primal strength, and is strong enough to massacre almost anything in his path, negating all attacks you could possibly throw at him, thanks to his spell immunity and divine armour.

The great Defiler will open up dark portals, summoning demons to do his bidding and summon a rain of chaotic infernals from the sky. He will rip through your units like a knife through butter.

However, there is a way, although a frightfully difficult way, to defeat Archimonde without having to wait for the revenge of the wisps.

Stock up on those invulnerability potions and mines, raise your night elf and ancient tree protector's army and pelt Archimonde with everything you’ve got, and he will still take 5% damage from all attacks other than chaos type attacks.

Defeating Archimonde yourself leads to a very strange end-of-level cutscene where a couple of buildings spontaneously combust, without Archimonde himself there destroying them.
