4. Armored Core VI: Fires Of Rubicon
The recent release of the latest Armored Core game has been received with overwhelming positivity from gamers, fans, and even critics. That said, there's one thing about the game that is kicking up a stir, that being that the tutorial is absolutely battering everyone.
This mecha-vehicle game's tutorial mission (Illegal Entry) begins as a standard introduction to the intricate mechanics and gameplay. It has its challenging moments but mostly runs smoothly. But then, the AH12: HC Helicopter appears, and boy, it is one mean machine.
The monstrous boss arrives decked out with missiles and gatling guns that can quickly obliterate you if your reflexes are slow. On top of that, your attacks do minimal damage against its thick armour, meaning the fight will take time, and a small slip-up can end your run.
Considering that most players at this point are barely even used to the game's mechanics, let alone Raven's weapons, this boss will destroy anyone's confidence, whether they're a newcomer or a veteran.
Naturally, being decked within the first ten minutes of a game is hardly a great start for most. Still, at least it's on brand for FromSoft.
