6. Skies of Arcadia Legends (Dreamcast, GameCube)
Okay, okay, so you want an RPG that maybe hit multiple platforms? Or at least isnt on the SNES. I understand, which is where Skies of Arcadia comes in. Originally this game was released for the Dreamcast (a heavily under-rated game system), but it was also re-released for the Game Cube later on, and still under-rated. Although I recommend the original Dreamcast version, youll still get most of the things for this game with the GameCube version too. Lets just put this simply, if you like air pirates then why have you not played this game yet? The battles and epic adventure while traveling with air ships and battling in the sky just cant be beat. Id truly consider this game epic on all levels from the story to the battle system and music. The major advantage to the GameCube version though comes with all the content (even downloadable) and the introduction of one of the coolest characters Piastol or as she is called by sky pirates The Angel of Death. She has to be one of my favorite characters despite her not being in the original storyline. The main reason this game isnt praised as much is thanks to a poor port for graphics and music to the GameCube, so it couldnt compete with many other RPGs around that time, but even so it was a victim of the Dreamcast before then. These days most people only know about a couple of games on the Dreamcast and it usually is Sonic because those games were eventually released for the PC, while pretty much everything else on the dreamcast was left in the dust despite there being some absolutely incredible games on it, including ones like Powerstone and Skies of Arcadia.
