10 Incredible Video Games That Came Out Of NOWHERE

4. Persona 4 Golden (PC)

Hi-Fi Rush
Atlus

While this list generally excludes re-releases and ports for obvious reason, there is one exception if only because of how unexpected and long-requested it was.

We're talking of course about Persona 4 Golden's surprise launch on PC in June 2020.

Persona 4 originally released for PS2 in 2008, with the enhanced Golden version landing on PS Vita in 2012.

Both Persona fans and PC gamers eager to get into the franchise had been begging notoriously difficult publisher Atlus for years to bring the series to PC, and in the summer of 2020, when most of us were stuck at home twiddling our thumbs, along came quite the gift indeed.

The PC version not only added extra graphical options but also included the original Japanese voice acting in a Western release for the first time.

The rapturous response to the port and presumably stellar sales unsurprisingly prompted Atlus to start bringing the series' other titles to PC, beginning with the recently released third and fifth games. You love to see it.
